Suzanne & Tod’s B&B Wedding

Christmas is nearly behind us and it’s soon to be my favourite time of the year – blogging season! We have SO MANY gorgeous weddings and sessions to share from this past season, but wanted to start with just a peak at Suzanne & Tod’s beautiful day.

HUGE kudos to wedding planner Annie Rae from With Flare, you really outdid yourself! And of course, Uli’s for the amazing food.

Suzanne & Tod – you were stunning, thanks for sharing your day with us.

Happy New Year!

Sue & Gad’s Hycroft Wedding

Before I archive this one I had to run over here and share. This was a teeny wedding that I shot at Hycroft a couple of weeks ago for just an hour. The video makes me cry.

When the craziness that can be associated with larger weddings is stripped away, you’re left with two people who are so deeply in love that nothing else matters but the two of them and the commitment made to marry. I adore photographing weddings for that reason, and was so very honoured to capture these moments for them.

Enjoy! Xo!

Josh & Shan – Heirloom Magazine Feature

The current edition of Heirloom Magazine contains a favourite wedding of ours – that of two of our very best friends, Josh & Shan! Ucluelet’s beautiful Black Rock Resort played host to their wedding, now gracing the printed pages of this publication. Here are a few peeks into the pages of the feature.

Shout outs to our favourite Olives Mike & Shari for running point on this one while Reilly and I spent (most) of our time on the other side of the camera! xo!

Product love!

Every week we have goodies heading out the door to our clients to hang on walls, be given as gifts, and adorn coffee tables. We’re always trying to get them into everyone’s hands quickly, and seldom take the time to grab a photo for us!

So, a few weeks ago I was sure to grab my camera when we had a few orders come in all together, so wanted to share a quick peak with you now that gifts have been given and everything is out. A few traditional canvasses for the walls, a gorgeous wedding album with a metal cover, folios as gifts, and a few print orders all crossed our desks that day. Here’s just a peak!

Clementine

One of the things I love most about capturing brand new arrivals is being able to take their portraits in their homes. I love knowing that when they are older they’ll have that image of what even a little piece of their first home looked like – a snapshot in time of when two became three! Being able to incorporate little things like a handmade blanket, a special hand-me-down, or even something fun like dad’s guitar cab is so much more personal than working in a studio of generic props, and we had fun capturing a few of these shots with Clementine. Can’t wait for her next session as she starts to get more mobile, and is full of belly laughs and smiles!

And baby makes Four!

I loved being able to catch a glimpse of our unseasonable snow through the window for these family portraits, and the sweet moments with mom, dad, the kids – and puppy Honey, of course!Lysa-Wone-blog
