Blue Olive – Newborn, Babies, Kids & Family Portraits

One of my very favourite phone calls is when a couple (one of our past wedding clients or someone new) gives the call that the two of them are about to become 3 (or more!)

We love photographing new babies and growing families, and all the craziness that is a family with young kids.

For new babies, we usually go with one of our baby plans – combining your choice of maternity photos with newborn (under 10 days!), the crawling phase, and then one year shots. After that, we most typically do yearly portrait sessions with our families to document them as they grow.

Our portrait sessions start at $395, with baby plans from $495, and day in the  life shoots also available, all with special packages and offers for our Blue Olive alumni. We usually book 4-6 weeks out for evenings and weekends, with daytimes during the week available sooner (and we will always squeeze in an early arrival or new-to-us newborn within a few days to catch that newborn window!)

Baby sessions take place at home, where Mom & Baby are most comfortable and we have lots of personal things on hand to create images that best capture baby and the new family. One year and kid sessions can take place at home, or anywhere that lets a family be a family. We’ve sat on the kitchen floor playing with pots and pans, jumped on beds, sat on the grass outside under the laundry line, we’ve played on beaches, ran in waves, fed the birds, played on bikes, had a picnic, chased balloons…
