Joanne and Chris chose Canada day for their celebration! With everyone flying in from all over the globe - including the bride and groom themselves - the celebrating and get togethers lasted the entire week.
Married!

Joanne, Chris, and their bridal party on the streets of downtown Vancouver

When planning her wedding, Joanne told me she wanted it to be classy and elegant with a sense of timelessness. These images of her couldn’t be described any other way!

The cake was made by Chris’ aunt from England. Incredible!

The First Dance

And I love this shot of the father daughter dance, as well

What a gorgeous couple, and gorgeous wedding! Many people came together to make it happen including Erin from Fuego events, Kathy and Steph from Marliss Productions for the videography, the team from Oasis Flowers, and Jeanie joined us as a second shooter to name just a few.
Congrats congrats to you both! The engagement session is also due to hit the blog in a monster update soon, so these two will be back on these pages shortly.
Cheers!

Vicky and Dave were married June 21st at Morgan Creek. With such a warm and playful personality it was no surprise that Vicky kept the largest smile on her face the entire day! You could just feel her joy and couldn’t help but smile yourself just looking at her.
One of the things that really made this wedding - like so many others - was the warmth and obvious love of the friends and family that surrounded Vicky and Dave. The couple photos and details often take the spotlight when it comes to figuring out which images to highlight, so we wanted to take a step away from that for this post and share some of the caught moments that we spend a lot of time looking for at each wedding. The portraits and details are ever so important, but it’s images like these that will be especially cherished for many years to come.

So long for now, Cuba, this one’s a wrap!
Philip and Megan tied the knot at the end of May at the Royal Hideaway Ensenachos near Santa Clara, Cuba. They laughed, they partied, they got hitched. Their family and friends were a blast, and the wedding will be one to remember!
So many photos… it’s always hard to pick just a few to really sum it all up. This will be a little images heavy, but we couldn’t decide which we liked more!
First things first… touring the resort for the engagement session

The wedding day - the dress. Love this angle!

The Bride Megan looking serene

The ceremony on the beach was breathtaking. Simple, yet so gorgeous. I loved all the white cloth as it blew in the wind

The Bride and Groom

Two favs from the reception

And, of course, in Blue-Olive-Does-Cuba style, the trash the dress! Done early in the morning before everyone boarded a plane to go home, this will be one send off to remember!

CONGRATS, CONGRATS! So, next year, same time, same place you two?! Talk about the perfect anniversary destination. We can’t wait for you to see the rest of the images, and hope life back in Calgary is treating you well. Props as well to Josh for donning the Blue Olive hat and second shooting in the land of sun and surf.
Cheers!

Two down one to go… Kat and Mark’s wedding was our second of three in Cuba!
Also at the Iberostar Varadero, Kat and Mark had the same location as Liz & Brad but that’s where the similarities ended. I love being able to highlight the unique personalities of everyone we photograph. These two and their crew were quite the crowd - so much energy! My favourite shots are definitely the group trashing session in the ocean - HOT!
Kat and Mark’s week started with a group tour to Havana with a few engagement shots captured along the way

And my favourite shots of all - the Trash the Dress session featuring the entire bridal party! Just look at those clouds… WOW

I know you guys are missing Cuba now that you’re back in Toronto, but hopefully this sneak peak takes ya back!
CONGRATS again, we’ll be in touch soon!!

Liz and Brad got hitched in Cuba!
The Iberostar Veradero was the resort of choice for these two earlier this month. I love destination weddings - whether local destinations or those far away - because there really is something magical about getting away for a vacation to celebrate with your closest family and friends. Everyone is so relaxed and has an amazing time, and it really really shows.
After having talked on the phone and via email with these two many times in the months coming up to the wedding, we were so excited to finally meet them. They are both so sweet and so obviously passionately in love! The photos speak for themselves, and this is only the very tip of so many gorgeous images.
Congrats guys!

Granville Island is such an awesome location simply because there are so many different ways and places to shoot! No two sessions are ever the same.
This shoot was a blast, starting with lunch right through to sneaking photos in Sybel’s parent’s candy shop to getting to meet Rambo the dog. Their Sutton Place wedding in July is definitely one to look forward to. Can’t wait!
And - of course - Reilly needed to scratch his climbing bug, so I’ve thrown 2 shots in from his vantage point up a tree

We’re really looking forward to Ben & Ange’s wedding in July. We had a great time exploring the streets of Gastown and East Van to find just the right spots for the perfect shots.
Thanks for braving the wind, guys! The photos are super hot… here are just a few, can’t wait to share the rest!

It’s always an honour when other photographers ask us to shoot them, and all that much more fun when they are friends, too.
Tracey & Jonathan braved the cold wind and Reilly’s 4×4 driving dreams (in a car that is so not a 4×4) last week for a series of portraits.
Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon! Here are just a few of our fav shots!

This past weekend had us escaping the cold and unseasonal snow of Vancouver and heading to Tofino - which, by some miraculous hand, was gorgeous and sunny - for Jen & Neil’s wedding.
I hardly know where to start. Everything was perfect - from the amazing outfits (two hot numbers each), to the weather, to the grand fireworks finale at the end of the night. Looking back, I can’t think of a single thing that could have been any better.
There are so many images… but I have to choose just a few! Here are just a handful of all the great shots jumping out at me so far!
First up - the shoes. They most definitely deserve to make the blog cut. Jen agonized over her decision between a certain pair of Manolos and this pair of Louboutins. The Louboutins won.

Jen and her Dad walking up the aisle. I adore this photo, especially the look on her face!

The ceremony was held indoors, with a sweeping view of the beach right behind them.

Jen and Neil looking stellar

Together

My favourite reception detail - the cheese cake. Yes, it’s a cake. Or rather, cheese setup in the shape of a cake. Either way, it was delicious, and the symbolism behind them cutting the cheese entertains me to no end!

We headed back outside after dinner for a few sunset photos. Here is Jen, looking amazing in the evening sun.

One of the surprises of the night was the quick outfit change that had these two looking like they’d walked straight out of Hollywood. Wow.

And finally, the guests were treated again at the end of the night with an amazing beach fireworks show. The perfect end to the perfect day.

CONGRATS again, to both of you! It was such a joy to be there. I’m sure you are having a fantastic time in Morocco. We’ll see you when you get back!

What a perfect day. The weather was amazing - especially for a November wedding. We were even able to do the family portraits outside! What a treat for this time of year.
3 stunning outfits… many friends and family… and a lot of love. That pretty much sums it up.
I started pulling out images to blog and it was getting out of hand so I pared it down… what you don’t see here are the touching moments where Daisy’s dad watches her finish getting ready from the back of the room, the tender ceremony, the tea ceremony bringing together two families and two cultures, the musical performance complete with song, guitar, and kazoos during the reception, and too many toasts and heartfelt hugs to count… and the list could go one and on. Daisy and Joel - it was such a pleasure to spend your day with you and to see just how loved you both are. Congratulations!

Congrats again to you both! Best of luck with exams in the coming weeks. We’ll look forward to sharing the rest of your images!
