Of course, more than just the 3D movie, we all want to see how it went, right?
It went off without a hitch! Now let’s get to the pics, shall we -
Stef getting ready

One of many details - the sandwich board. I LOVE the sandwich board!

When you get married on Zombiewalk day, you are pretty much obligated to get a photo. Well, you are if you’re into that sort of thing. Having been active Zombiewalk participants in the past, it was only fitting that we plan their session around grabbing a few shots with the zombies.

Reilly and I have been shooting under bridges for years, and we hit up 2 with these guys. The light is amazing and perfect for portraits, and especially for cars. Having shot our ‘69 beetle under this bridge and many others in the past, we knew just where to head with the ‘53 Ford that Kevin just finished! Isn’t it gorgeous?

And one of the bride here too, for good measure

For bridge #2 we ditched the car and climbed a steep hill - for an amazing image that was totally worth it. HOT!

And one more from the same location

And, finally, I’ll finish with my favourite reception detail - the record cupcake towers, handmade by Kevin & Stef.

I haven’t even touched the surface with these guys, so I’ll be sure to share the finished slideshow in a few weeks when all is said and done. I could probably do an entire post of all the guests who’d dressed up as well, not to mention the dancing, but that will all have to wait until the end!
Congrats again, we had a blast. See you both soon!

What can I say about these two?!
If I had to describe Michelle it would be Classic Elegance - she was simply radiant on her wedding day this past weekend. Charles was awestruck when he first laid eyes on her, and I caught him staring at her many times throughout the day. And, really, no wonder - look at her!
Their love for eachother was so obvious, and they complement eachother’s personalities so very well. Congratulations to you both! You are a perfect match

Heather & Justin are getting married at the end of September at Dundarave Pier in West Vancouver. We headed out a few days ago to Granville Island to capture their engagement images.
I don’t remember the last time I was on a tire swing, but I think the next time will have to be sooner rather than later judging by the laughter coming out of these two!

And my very favourite portrait of them from the day

See you guys soon! Can’t wait for the wedding!

Elle & Dom were married last month, and earlier this week we headed out for one of our after sessions to capture even more photos in that gorgeous dress!

My favourite details - the simple yet stunning vintage clutch and gloves

Renee & Rob are getting married in September at Hycroft - an elegant gala in the plans that we are eagerly looking forward to!
On Monday we got together for a wander through Chinatown to enjoy some treats from one of the Chinese bakeries and to wander through Dr. Sun Yat Sen gardens to enjoy the sunshine and - well, for me - to visit the turtles. I could sit and watch those turtles for HOURS.
Here are a couple of our shots so far - with two, of course, focussing on that great red wall!

Agnes & Frankie were married on Saturday! They travelled to Vancouver from their home in Calgary for a whirlwind day of traditions, tea ceremonies, cruising back alleys with us, and amazing friends and family!
On the topic of tradition, here’s just one of many shots highlighting just how dedicated to getting to the bride these guys were. This is just a few of them belting out a love song at the top of their lungs at the early hour of 8:30 am!

Stacy & James are getting married in Dallas but were recently up in Vancouver and wanted to get together for some engagement photos! After chasing the geese all over Stanley Park for a photo we headed to Yaletown for a few city shots. Kudos to Erin over at Fuego Events for hooking us up.

I love doing engagement sessions because they give us a chance to get to know our couples and to see them through our lens before the big day. For some people, it’s also an opportunity to work out any in-front-of-the-camera nerves and uneasiness in such a relaxed setting.
For some people… just not these two! From the first frame we captured this evening through to the end, Shawn & Eri photographed like models! It was so easy to see just how much in love they are and that came through crystal clear in the images. There are so many amazing shots! We had great evening light and Reilly and I just ate it up!
Normally I only post a couple from each engagement session, but tonight I just can’t decide. So, here are my 7 favourites so far -

Tara and Eddie tied the knot on Sunday at the Celebration Pavilion in Queen E Park. After, we headed to the beach at Stanley Park for some pictures before arriving at the Heritage Hall for the reception. A quick walk around the block and into the alleys with the newlyweds completed our photo session that day! We had such a great time with them and their bridal party, and the reception was full of touching speeches, lots of laughter and dancing, and the warmth of so many friends and family. What a way to celebrate Canada Day!

This weekend held two weddings and two great engagement sessions for us!
First up on Friday night we met up with Jennifer & Colin at Jericho for a walk on the beach. The weather had threatened to continue raining but held off, allowing not only some great images but an almost empty beach! These two are getting married in August at Brock House, so we’ll be back again soon

And then, after our weddings on Saturday and Sunday (pics to come shortly!), we met up with Marsha and Cuong on Monday morning. They will be getting married next month in Edmonton but were in town for a friend’s wedding, making the perfect opportunity to grab some photos of their own
