Jim & Dina’s relationship started at Brix, so it was only appropriate that that was the location of their wedding. They travelled from their home in Boston to Vancouver for their wedding on Saturday - our first full wedding of the year!

And finally, the ambiance of the reception

Congratulations again to you both! Enjoy your time in Vancouver and we hope your next reception in Boston is equally as fantastic.

Cheers!

Amber & Shane are getting married in September at the Brock House!

They call Yaletown home so we headed to their neighbourhood for a few engagement pictures on Sunday in the gorgeous sun and warm weather.

Looking forward to the wedding! You guys are awesome in front of the camera - we can’t wait for the wedding day pics!

Yan and Darian are getting married on Christmas Eve at the Fairmont Waterfront - and we are looking forward to one heck of a great wedding! We met up with them yesterday at their Yaletown apartment for some photos before walking around the library with some great late day sun.

The family shot - Yan, Darian, and Maurice!

As promised, here are a few shots from Renee’s sister Jessica’s portrait session Monday. This is the gal who did the AMAZING cakes for Renee and Rob’s wedding, and the session was part of her thank you from her sister before she flew home.

While she makes a mean cake, she is also equally as talented behind the camera. She’s a natural! The shoot was so easy and oh so much fun. Here are a few shots!

And as they were on their way to the airport afterwards her boyfriend was with her as well, so we got a few shots of the two of them. Adorable together!

XOXOXO

And Jess, we didn’t even get into the Montreal discussion, but have you been to Cafe Santropol? From the two months I spent there that was my fav place to go. Perfect to settle in with a book and enjoy a sinfully delicious soda and cream cheese sandwich. Yum!

Elle & Dom were married last month, and earlier this week we headed out for one of our after sessions to capture even more photos in that gorgeous dress!

Stacy & James are getting married in Dallas but were recently up in Vancouver and wanted to get together for some engagement photos! After chasing the geese all over Stanley Park for a photo we headed to Yaletown for a few city shots. Kudos to Erin over at Fuego Events for hooking us up.

Earlier this month we did the engagement shoot of Lisa and Brian in advance of their March wedding. Way too much fun! We ran around Yaletown in the rain, looking for various nooks and crannies to capture the fun that these two were having all on their own. Here are a couple of our fav images - this will definitely be a wedding full of smiles and laughter, and we can’t wait!

We’ve been doing so many engagement sessions recently that I need to share. Our engagement sessions are such a fantastic way to get to know our couples and for them to feel more comfortable with being in the spotlight behind our cameras.

Joni & Jason live what probably seems like a world apart but you can see the love they have for eachother in their eyes when they get to spend time together, like they did earlier this month when Jason came up to visit. They are getting married in May.

Roger & Janette are also planning their wedding for next May. The first shot was taken in their church as we did a quick session there before heading out to Yaletown for a few more urban shots.

Alexandra & Rob are planning their July wedding and we visited Stanley Park as it was one of the places that Rob took Alexandra before she made the move to Vancouver, and it was there that he first asked if she wanted to move to be here with him.

Peter & Stacey will be married in just a couple of weeks at the beginning of October. Similar to Rob & Alexandra, Stanley Park has special meaning for these two as it is somewhere they went when they first dated. We were blessed with gloriously blue skies that day, which make for amazing images!

Miranda and Mark are another May couple of ours. For their engagement session we decided to hit Yaletown in the evening a couple of weeks ago. What I love the most about using urban areas for photo shoots is the abundance of different options we have at our fingertips. Within a block we can shoot on the water, in front of an old building, and at a cafe. Such an opportunity to be creative!

Here are three of our favourite shots. Looking forward to the wedding!
