There are so many favourites that it’s hard to choose, but we wanted to give just a taste of some of the weddings we’ve been working on this year, so here we go with our favourite five.

Jenn and Lawrence were married in Punta Cana, and I’m really wishing we could go back to the beach – so beautiful! We just put the final touches on their album set and loved how perfectly their wedding came together. A week in an exotic location with beautiful weather, sun, sand, and surf with a huge group of close family and friends. Bliss.

I’ve discovered it’s practically impossible to choose only five, but I also believe that a single image can speak volumes so here are five that stood out to me!

So, you’ve already seen the video from this wedding, but it’s not quite the same as savouring each shot one by one. Also, I kinda love these guys and this way I get to share their stuff with you again!

I doubt I could go on any more about how much I love local destination weddings, but that’s not going to stop me. I LOVE when people can get away – even just for one night – to truly relax and celebrate. It’s an entirely different feel, and I love it. This was one of those weddings.

Sea Breeze Lodge was the venue chosen for both the ceremony and reception, with guests scattered in cozy B&Bs nearby and around the island. Of note, the gals got ready at Spray Point Beach House which also gets a giant mention here – not only was it a great retreat, but it provided the access to the amazing rock formations that we took full advantage of in our photoshoot. I would go back just for that!

Sandy Pandher did an expert job with coordination and decor, Bisou Bridal and Frocks were behind the bride’s and bridesmaid’s gowns respectively, Amanda’s Makeup there for hair & makeup, and Michael Schurko on video.

xoxo! Enjoy!

OK, ok, I’ll share!

Has everyone been enjoying the holiday season, and this week the GORGEOUS weather? I think I’ve eaten my weight in chocolate and we’ve been spending lots of time with close friends and family. We’re officially back in the office Tuesday but I wanted to stop by with a couple of updates, as I know already from the emails we’ve been getting that there are lots of gals with brand new rings on their fingers!

One of my favourite parts of each shoot we do is the video – the highlights of the wedding all pulled together, including (new for all of our 2011 events) a few snips of moving video thrown into the mix for added effect. These videos are the first look for our clients and more importantly the best way to share the wedding as a snapshot, and we’ll be sharing more of these with our blog readers going forward.

The full blog post is yet to come for these two, but with the sun today I’m reminded of this gorgeous fall wedding on Hornby Island and thought this was the perfect video to share – joy is contagious, and I adore these guys. Enjoy!

Carla & Jamie are so laid back and easy to get along with, and when they described their wedding venue it fit them to a T.

In the middle of nowhere… room for everyone to stay for the weekend… fit for a party under the gorgeous summer skies. Perfect.

Alpine Meadows Resort is a new property, and it sits roughly between Barriere and Clearwater, an hour or so north of Kamloops. Well, that is of course if the ferry is open – when I say that this place is tucked away, I mean it! The quickest route takes you on a fit-for-3 (at most!)  ferry ride across a river, and as it’s only got one operator it’s closed for lunch and he heads home around 6pm, necessitating a longer drive around. The fun is all in the trip however, so here’s a peak at our ferry adventure on the way -

Looking forward – like many of the guests – to a weekend away, we loaded up the truck with all of our gear, picked up Shari, and headed on our way. Once we arrived we were stunned with this property – brand new, complete with an on site restaurant and super nice cottages with large balconies for lazy evenings watching the sun set and catching a glimpse at the stars (which you forget are even there when you spend so much time in the city!)

The wedding itself was exactly what they wanted – laid back, a celebration, set in a beatiful location.

No one could have asked for anything more! Cheers, guys!
