Michelle is one of those super cheerful people who is simply a blast to be around, making photographing their wedding a tonne of fun!

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen gardens set the stage for the ceremony following a tour of many of our favorite photo locations from alleys to bridges to Coal Harbour and Stanley Park. Kirin Restaurant downtown was the reception venue of choice, and we were even able to head outside for a quick night session.

Next up: figuring out wall art! Chat soon guys!

This was the last wedding of the year for Tamara who shot with Reilly July to September, and she’s back in San Francisco now. A huge shout out to her for a fantastic season with us! It was such a treat to have you on our team, and we can’t wait to hear about your upcoming wedding and adventures. Cheers!

Karen & Stephen chose a local neighbourhood favourite for their ceremony – Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s classical Chinese gardens. If you’ve never been, it’s an incredible treat in the middle of the city!

Complete with traditional lion dancers, their ceremony was a huge hit for everyone who joined them to celebrate. After that it was off to the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park for their reception. Jeanie joined the Blue Olive team as well for the day.

These guys are such a riot to be around, and with so many family and friends out to celebrate with them it’s so clear how much they are loved. Thank you for inviting us to share in the celebration! Here are a few of our favourite shots -

Renee & Rob are getting married in September at Hycroft – an elegant gala in the plans that we are eagerly looking forward to!

On Monday we got together for a wander through Chinatown to enjoy some treats from one of the Chinese bakeries and to wander through Dr. Sun Yat Sen gardens to enjoy the sunshine and – well, for me – to visit the turtles. I could sit and watch those turtles for HOURS.

Here are a couple of our shots so far – with two, of course, focussing on that great red wall!
