Emilee & Sat’s story starts with a simply beautiful engagement – Emilee was sitting down to put shoes on before going out with friends when their dog jumped in her lap (a regular occurrence). Unlike every other day, however, was that a ring was hanging around her neck! She looked up to see Sat walking down the hall towards her and the rest is history.

I absolutely love how gorgeous these two looked in Emilee’s gown and Sat’s traditional achkan – such a stunning pair! The wedding was complete with an amazing group of family and friends who had flown in from allover the world to celebrate with them, including Emilee’s 94 year old grandmother as an extra special addition.

The ceremony and reception were both held at Riverside Palace in Richmond, which also provided the food, DJ, and much of the decor for a stress free day for these two. Shari was along with the Blue Olive team to capture all the details of the day.

We first started chatting with Nav last August when the plans were starting to come together. I love it when our couples are able to pull traditions from multiple cultures… in this case it was blending a more traditional Sikh ceremony with a Chinese tea ceremony to honour Garrick’s family followed by a gorgeous, upscale Western reception! Nav & Garrick were married in Richmond followed by an amazing reception at La Terrazza in Yaletown.

Following their engagement session we were super excited to meet up with these guys on their wedding day, and I loved how everything came together. La Terrazza especially was an incredible venue, with crazy delish family style Italian food for a large, celebrating family!

A huge group of our favourite people came together for this one… Shari of course for our team, Kathy & Steph at Marliss Productions for video, Kerry from Fairy Godmother for day of coordination, Ganache for the incredible cake, and Kathleen from Proline on decor.

The summer started out with a bang for Avni & Joe’s whirlwind 3 day wedding! Cecil Green, Coyote Creek, and even the Vancouver Public Library all played host to parts of their celebration. And of course, all the  beautiful colour! With so many different events it’s hard to choose what to share. Here are a few highlights –

A huge shout out to the lovely Erin from Fuego Events for the gorgeous flowers & décor and pulling everything together, and to our good friends Kathy & Steph from Marliss Productions for being a blast to work with as always. This wedding also marked our 2009 welcome to Tamara who joined Reilly for our July – September weddings.

Cheers!

Karen & Arjuna flew from their home in New York to Vancouver recently for a whirlwind wedding weekend. The ceremony day started out at the Mission Sikh temple and continued into the city for the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver reception!

With a day that started very early in the am and went into the late hours of the night, it’s almost impossible to pick just a few images. Here are just a few of the many that caught our eye…

The day came together with the amazing Geneve from DreamGroup productions planning and organizing, with decor and flowers by Wedding Design Studio, (yet another!) gorgeous cake by Paula from Aeyra cakes, and rentals through Upright Decor to name just a few. Jeanie joined the Blue Olive team to round out the day.

Congrats congrats to you both! We hope your New York reception winds up the festivities with just as much grace and glamour as the one here in Vancouver. Cheers!
