Indie is a joint production between the awesome Andrea & Rob over at Lotus Events and Us – Blue Olive!

Lovestruck!
Reilly and I will be at the Lovestruck bridal show tomorrow at the Vancouver Club from 11am – 8pm. Tickets will be available at the door, so come say hi and check it out!
I will also be giving the presentation on photographic styles and choosing your photographer, so if it’s all a blur to you, come on over for that – starts at noon.

Amber & Shane’s Brock House Wedding
Some people have way too much fun… and ESPECIALLY so on their wedding day! Amber and Shane were a riot – as the photos will attest. Their gorgeous affair was held at the Brock House following a ceremony at Holy Rosary Cathedral here in Vancouver.
Vendors included the fabulous Blue Skies and Daisies, Halfyard Designs, Upright Decor, Frocks, Isabelle’s Bridal, Isn’t she Lovely for hair and makeup, and Ganache Patisserie for the amazing cake. Tracey joined the Blue Olive team for the day. Kudos to all of you for a gorgeous event, and congrats congrats to Amber & Shane once again! Cheers!
Karen & Stephen’s Vancouver Rowing Club & Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden Wedding
Karen & Stephen chose a local neighbourhood favourite for their ceremony – Dr. Sun Yat-Sen’s classical Chinese gardens. If you’ve never been, it’s an incredible treat in the middle of the city!
Complete with traditional lion dancers, their ceremony was a huge hit for everyone who joined them to celebrate. After that it was off to the Vancouver Rowing Club in Stanley Park for their reception. Jeanie joined the Blue Olive team as well for the day.
These guys are such a riot to be around, and with so many family and friends out to celebrate with them it’s so clear how much they are loved. Thank you for inviting us to share in the celebration! Here are a few of our favourite shots –

Sharon & Michael’s Kirin at Starlight Wedding
Sharon & Michael’s Bethany Baptist Church wedding and Kirin at Starlight reception was the kind of wedding that dreams are made of… Sharon was elegant in each of her many outfits, Michael didn’t stop smiling, and the guests were in for a treat.
The traditional tea ceremonies and multiple outfits both traditional and not were offset by a reception venue outfitted in gorgeous, rich colours (which I love not just because they match the red and turquoise of Blue Olive 😉 and a group of family and friends ready to just enjoy themselves. Perfect!
Oasis flowers, Proline trading, Indulgence desserts, and Upright Decor for the rentals came together to round out the team. On the Blue Olive side, Mandy did a fantastic job second shooting.

Vince & Arthur’s Richmond Wedding
Following one heck of a hot engagement session, we were really excited about the wedding of Vince & Arthur. The day started with traditional door games and tea ceremonies and flowed through to the St. Paul Parish ceremony before their photo session in the late afternoon. I just love the afternoon light in the images, and a nearby field was the perfect starting point for these images. Love it!
Shi-Art Chinese Cuisine held the reception complete with flowers by Kam Ngai and a cake by La Patisserie. Michael joined the Blue Olive crew for the day to second shoot.

Karen & Arjuna’s Hotel Vancouver Wedding
Karen & Arjuna flew from their home in New York to Vancouver recently for a whirlwind wedding weekend. The ceremony day started out at the Mission Sikh temple and continued into the city for the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver reception!
With a day that started very early in the am and went into the late hours of the night, it’s almost impossible to pick just a few images. Here are just a few of the many that caught our eye…
The day came together with the amazing Geneve from DreamGroup productions planning and organizing, with decor and flowers by Wedding Design Studio, (yet another!) gorgeous cake by Paula from Aeyra cakes, and rentals through Upright Decor to name just a few. Jeanie joined the Blue Olive team to round out the day.
Congrats congrats to you both! We hope your New York reception winds up the festivities with just as much grace and glamour as the one here in Vancouver. Cheers!
Solmaz & Shahin’s Pan Pacific Wedding
As details emerged surrounding Solmaz & Shahin’s Persian wedding held at the Pan Pacific in August, we got more and more excited. The details couldn’t be more perfect – coordinated by the fabulous Angela from Reflection Events who was joined by our friends from Wedding Design Studio for all the amazing decor, rentals, and floral. Amish second shot for us, and Cloud Nine did their thing for video. You can even check out their same day edit here. And finally, the famous Persian musical artist Andy flew in and took the stage for a wedding reception that no one will likely forget!
