Travelling from their home in LA, planning a wedding from another country isn’t an easy task. These two pulled it off without a hitch! A great group of close family and friends came together for Betsy & Mike’s Capilano Golf & Country Club wedding.

OK, Chelene rocks my world. Always ultra cheerful and happy, I’m pretty sure we can all take a lesson from her!
Her wedding day was no exception, she was all smiles (well, all smiles AND a few happy tears for good measure 😉 From a photography standpoint we got *clouds* which are somewhat rare in Vancity, so that was a definite treat.

Ok, we’ve been to *literally* hundreds of weddings. We’ve seen parties, or at least, we *thought* we’d seen parties. Until this one.
Tracey joined us as a third shooter that day, and thank goodness she did because two of us just wouldn’t have covered it. Both Marina & Ivo looked smoking hot and to top off an already great day these guys – and their many friends – know how to throw a party! I’ll let the images speak for themselves. What a blast!

Beck & Dav’s wedding was small, cozy, and *definitely* memorable. The ceremony took place in the marriage registrar’s yard, and ended with the jingle of the ice cream truck as the brides decided that their first act as a married couple would be to chase down Mr. Whippy.
A comprehensive tour of Vancouver followed, from Kits beach to the alleys of Yaletown, during which the aussie pair and their two best friends taught the locals new things about their city.
These two felt like celebrities with their own paparazi, but they had a lot of fun with it. Here are some highlights of their whirlwind Canadian wedding!

OK, OK, I know! I have strayed from my ultra prompt blogging of yesteryear and have fallen sorely behind, so it stops now!
We’ve been working our butts off here at Blue Olive HQ, and with a larger team than normal to boot. Tamara joined our ranks for our July – September weddings, leaving her San Francisco home to wear the Blue Olive hat for the summer which has been fantastic. And Reka – whom you all met on a previous blog post – has officially *ended* her internship and has *begun* her officially official employment! It’s true – we loved her so much that we thought we’d keep her around, so Reka will continue to work behind the scenes in the office with us on an ongoing basis. Yay!
Heads have been buried as we’ve had so much going on. Incredible weddings, stellar engagement sessions, newborns, bellies, family photos and so on. And, of course, all the editing and album designing and finishing touches that go into each one.
So – here it is, Saturday night with the troops in from a spectacular wedding – wind-up toys! for favours! we got an alligator. the cats are in looooovvvveeee with it. congrats again renee & cameron! xoxoxo to you both – and I thought I’d take a moment while waiting for cards to download and backup and all those good things to check in and say hello.
2010 is booking quickly as well – we’re still busy with this year but already excited about the great couples we have for next year. The only hard part about the whole process is when we’re already booked for the days people are looking at, so no delays! Get in touch to snag your day before someone else does. Talking Rock Resort & Quaaout Lodge along the shores of Little Shuswap Lake past Kamloops was chosen to honour Juli’s first nation heritage. The location was tranquil and serene, and the view across the lake simply breathtaking. It was an area of the province we hadn’t spent any time in and we were excited to extend our stay by a couple of days to take it all in before we had to head back to Vancouver.
Joined by the many family and friends who probably thought that this day would *never* come, Juli, Robb, and their son Avery planned what turned out to be exactly what a wedding should be – a really, really good time, and a celebration!
Congrats congrats to you both, here’s to many more years of happiness together. Thanks for inviting us along, it was a blast
